Tinubu Applauds Soludo’s Visionary Leadership, Commissions Legacy Projects in Anambra

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has heaped glowing praise on Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, hailing his administration’s bold strides in infrastructure and governance as a model of purposeful leadership.

The President, who arrived in Anambra on Thursday to a warm reception, was in the state to commission several landmark projects executed under Soludo’s leadership. Among the projects unveiled were the ultra-modern Emeka Anyaoku Center at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, the state’s newly constructed Government House, the recreational and youth empowerment hub known as the Solution Fun City, and the expansive 8-lane Aroma–Government House Boulevard in Awka — a symbolic infrastructure corridor reflecting the state’s rapid urban transformation.

Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, President Tinubu lauded Governor Soludo as not only a long-time friend but also a forward-thinking leader whose governance style has brought tangible progress to Anambra. “It is an honour to be here today,” Tinubu declared. “I commend my friend, Governor Chukwuma Soludo — a visionary and competent leader — for the remarkable work he is doing in Anambra State. These projects speak volumes about his commitment to people-centered development.”

The atmosphere at the event was celebratory yet notably apolitical. Ahead of the President’s arrival, Dr. Alex Obiogbolu, Political Adviser to Governor Soludo, had issued a public advisory urging attendees at Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square to avoid political attire or party insignia. “Everyone coming to the event is advised to dress in mufti,” the statement read. “Please, no APGA-branded clothes or support group uniforms. Let this be a unifying civic occasion, not a partisan gathering.”

The move was seen as a nod toward fostering national unity and underscoring the non-partisan nature of development. Tinubu’s visit — the first to Anambra since assuming office — has been described by many as a political and developmental milestone, with leaders across party lines commending the synergy between the federal and state governments.
